I purchased this sofa (Poundex 2Pcs Sectional Sofa F7770, Without Ottoman) on Jun 24, 2017 @ $495.38. Initially, I loved this sofa, it was the perfect size, comfortable, looked way more expensive than it actually costs. However, just about two months later I started to notice hairline cracking long the natural lines in the leather, which quickly turned into chipping leather flakes at the edges of these cracks, which then turned in to large cracks and tears in the sofa covers. This process took about one month, so that by the time I contacted Muuduu Furniture about the issue, I was just about a week outside of my warranty 🙁 .
It’s as though the leather coatings, especially the cushions that were sat on the most, literally started to deteriorate. However, within weeks the damage was visible on all the sofa covers, as well as the armrests and some back rest cushions. (See pictures attached)
Also much is to be desired regarding the two thin metal hooks used to join the two sofas of the sectional together. I had to purchase and install additional fixtures to bind them as these hooks started to slip out of there holes, dig and pierce new holds in the surrounding leather.
It’s now been 5 months since I purchased the sofa, I am about to throw it out and purchase a new one. The manufacturer agreed to supply 3 of the 6 damaged cushions….that did not help much as the damage on the other 3 are far too extensive.With family and friends coming over for the holidays, the sofa has just become an eyesore and a bit of an embarrassing point. :/
