Transitional on design but modern in appearance,the Portland collection adds subtle details and heavy solid wood construction to a Bauhaus-like form a combination of mid-century and Asian styles,each piece sits atop a recessed base with thick splayed legs Asymmetrical,integrated drawe pull are cut in a rounded rectangle shape and accented with oil rubbed bronze metal backings.A double top balances the weight of the base,giving each oiece ah substantial look.The platform bed creates depth with a shelter-style head and footboard,gently canted to mirror its angled legs.
Finished in a smooth,low-sheen walnut,the Portland collection is crafted from butcher block Acacia solid wood.Visible through the transparent NC lacquer finish are the characteristic contrasting wood grain anf naturally occuring knots that are signatures of Acacia lumber.
The mirror features three shekves each 4 inches square bye 11 inches high for accassories or cosmetics.The secretary chest drop front reveals a 16 inch high workspace with inner drawer anf shelf.All drawer are mounted on full extension,ball bearing glides and constructed with 5 sided,dovetail drawer boxes,sanded and stained to match the exterior.the dresser and chest top drawers are felt lined for staring valuables.
